John Wayne - George "Gabby" Hayes as Bad Guy
The 8th B western from Lone Star/Paul Malvern Productions, directed by R.N. Bradbury starring John Wayne and for a twist a clean shaven George "Gabby" Hayes as the vicious bad guy mastermind. He is aided by bad guy regulars Billy Franey, Eddie Parker and Earl Dwire. The plot is a little more interesting than usual: Wayne shows up to fight a gang led by the "Shadow" who are making it so tough that all the ranchers want to leave. Wayne is assisted by the great stuntman Yakima Canutt, not himself a Native American, but here rigged out as an Indian in Tonto fashion. "Ugh," says Canutt, as he is Wayne's rear guard. Pretty Verna Hillie, is Wayne's love interest - sexy stuff here, as she gets to do a clinging wet dress scene and in the end is sitting on the front porch with husband Wayne and their son. IMDb credits her with 18 film appearances between 1832-41, and two TV appearances in 1951-52. In the area of re-used ideas, this the third of this series that I have seen to use falling and jumping into a river. In all four, at the end Wayne gets he girl, but in two he gets a serious kiss, in one they ride off hand-in-hand and here its marriage with child. Enjoy.

dear Richard Sergeant
You say that the mp4 file dosn`t show any Digital artifacts on you computer?!
The mp4 file is a DIRECT derivation taking the DivX file as source.
I asume that there must be something wrong in the way your computer decodes the DivX file.
Please check your DivX Codec ...

Another Poor DivX Transfer
Having just downloaded and checked the DivX copy of this film, I am once again very disappointed with the quality. The pixalation is dreadful like watching digital television with very poor reception. As the low level mp4 version doesn't do this, it can't be the source material thay is to blame. So I suggest, stop offering sub-standard DivX material, and give us Higher Definition and higher bit rated mp4 (h264) encoded movies as an alterative.
